What is Meditation?



Meditation involves turning the mind inwards
to the mind itself.

  • It can be a means of relaxation
  • A technique for cultivating mental discipline
  • A way to gain psychological insight
  • A method for communicating with higher powers

The ultimate purpose of meditation is to help you overcome the limitations of the ordinary consciousness and expand your mind to higher levels of awareness


Our thinking mind can become over active.
Stress and stress related illnesses are common place is our modern lives.

Meditation can relieve the symptoms of stress by lowering to levels of Cortisol
in the blood (stress hormone)

There is much new research to show that meditation can create positive change
in brain activity and brain chemistry, helping to rewire the neuro-net
to harmonize its function.



Meditation
has been scientifically proven to:

  • Ease Anxiety and Stress
  • Lower Blood Pressure
  • Regulate Heart Rates
  • Help Pain Management





There are 5 ways to meditate:

  • The first involves learning to Focus/Concentrate - Stilling the mind

This can be achieved by focusing on your breath, a candle flame or a movement such as walking or working with a Mandala.

  • The second is Awareness Meditation (also called Mindfullness or Insight Meditation)

Where you learn to watch the patters of ordinary mind

  • The third is to Contemplate a Topic.

Focus on an emotion and watch your reaction

  • The fourth engages the mind's ability to Visualize

Here you allow your mind to create an image or story.
This transports you to a different reality and will change your emotional state and body chemistry

  • The fifth is to Journey

Here the mind see's images or stories that are not directed by you.
This is how you can communicate with your spirit (your higher self), or higher powers
